Ingredients:
Melt & medium heat

2 T oil of your choice (butter, coconut oil, ghee, olive oil)
Add
Whisk for 1 minute
Adjust thick or thin by adding more or less flour
Add

1 ½ c milk of your choice (coconut, almond, soy, cow, half & half, water)
Heat 2-3 minutes

1 teaspoon (or to taste) salt & spices – some suggestions: cayenne, paprika, turmeric, garlic powder, celery salt, pepper
Variations

Cook diced onions, celery, garlic and/or mushrooms in the butter before adding flour. This makes a good substitute for canned soups.

Add 1-2 cups of cheddar, Parmesan, Swiss or other types of cheese

Add 1 Tbs. Dijon mustard

Add any seasonings such as poultry seasoning, nutmeg, onion powder, seasoned salt, curry powder, parsley, chives…

Substitute chicken or vegetable broth for 1/2 the milk
